Description
Spacious double room in quiet 2-bed house near South Ealing & Acton Town
Lovely double bedroom available from 1st February in a peaceful residential area. The room is unfurnished (apart from a fitted wardrobe), so you'll need to bring your own bed and furniture — but there's plenty of space for a double bed, bedside table, and a bit of personality.
The house:
- 2-bedroom house with a furnished kitchen and living room
- Garden for hanging out in the summer and drying clothes
- Washing machine and dishwasher
- Parking available in the courtyard
Location:
- 15-minute walk to South Ealing and Acton Town stations (Piccadilly line) with some smaller supermarkets near both stations
- Near Gunnersbury Park — great for weekend runs, walks, or just a change of scenery. Gym and sports centre in the park as well as a recently opened cafe.
- 30-minute walk to Ealing Broadway (Elizabeth line, plus Tesco, Morrisons, TK Maxx, and the rest)
- Quiet residential area with plenty of families nearby
Bills: Around £180/month (a little higher in winter, lower in summer). Council Tax Band D.
About me:
I'm a teacher, so my week is pretty full-on — home is very much my base to decompress and recharge. Outside of work I'm into tennis, chess, cooking, and losing hours to good films and TV (sci-fi especially welcome). I'm friendly and easy-going but keep things fairly low-key at home. I'm not opposed to the occasional gathering, I just appreciate a heads-up and keeping things sensible given the neighbourhood.
Looking for:
Someone reliable, respectful, and happy with a relaxed household vibe. Whether you're up for a game of chess or just want to disappear into your room after work — both are equally fine. Smoking outside only, no pets, no couples (landlord's rule).
