Description

I’m looking for a new housemate to join me in my lovely 2-bed, 2-bath flat in Earlsfield from February.

Having lived here for over 3.5 years, I genuinely adore the place. It’s in a modern development just off King George’s Park, next to the River Wandle, and only a six-minute walk from Earlsfield station and about 12-min walk to Southfields (District Line). It’s quiet, green and feels like a little pocket of calm - but still close to everything. The neighbours are great and often very social, there’s a concierge six days a week, and parking’s available if you need it (plus an on-site Zipcar I shamelessly rely on).

The room:
A spacious double with a huge built-in wardrobe and a king-size bed (happy to swap it out if you’ve got your own). You’ll have the big family bathroom next to your room all to yourself (though it does tend to get used by guests for the toilet) – basically an ensuite in disguise. There’s plenty of space for a desk if you work from home.

The flat:
Open-plan kitchen/living space that genuinely feels like the heart of the home. I love hosting friends for dinner nights, but I’m equally happy with slow evenings on the sofa. This is not a party flat. If you’ve got any furniture you want to bring, I’m happy to negotiate on what stays or goes.

The kitchen is properly stocked – including a professional coffee machine. I’m a big foodie and do a lot of cooking (homemade sourdough included). In the past I’ve always taken a relaxed, shared approach to food with anyone I live with: splitting basics and cooking for each other when it makes sense. It’s nice, easy, and feels like living with an actual human rather than two separate fridge padlocks. As a natural feeder, I am very happy to cook the majority of meals too if that works for you!

A bit about me:
I’m in my thirties and run a marketing consultancy specialising in interiors, homes and lifestyle brands. I mostly work from home (there’s plenty of space for us both) but sometimes head into the office or work from wherever I feel like it. Outside of work, I’m usually cooking for my friends, at an overpriced fitness class, seeing friends and family, at a gig, sniffing out great bakeries or planning my next restaurant hit list.

Home is really important to me. I’m not looking for someone who treats the flat like a hotel, but equally I totally respect personal space and downtime. Ideally, you’re someone who enjoys being here, is present, and wants a home with a bit of warmth and connection - not a student vibe, not a ghost housemate, and not someone hiding in their room 24/7.

The boring bits:
• Rent: £1,265
• Bills: around £120/month
• Move-in date: 1 February (bit of flex if needed)
• Minimum term: flexible

Note: the photos are from the previous owners - I just haven’t had a minute to update them but I’d argue looks better now!

If you think we’d get on, drop me a message and we can arrange a chat and a viewing.

I’m open to short term rentals or Mon-Fri.
