After 2 incredible years, our lovely housemate is moving out so we have a large double room going in our East Dulwich house so we're looking for two newbies to join us in March.
About The Area:
The house is located on a leafy + very quiet residential street and only a 2 min walk to East Dulwich Station with great connections to central London - only 13 minutes to London Bridge!
East Dulwich is also super close to Brixton, Herne Hill, Peckham, Camberwell, etc. and you'll be spoilt for choice with plenty of pubs, cafes, restaurants + shops. The area has a vibrant village feel and is surrounded by green spaces + great parks the nearest being Dulwich Park + Peckham Rye.
About The House:
A HUGE three-story Victorian house in South East London. Bright, airy, period features, and generously sized rooms. It's a gem!
We've got the whole house (rare in this area) and during the last two years of multiple lockdowns + working from home, it has been a huge help. Although we're back in the office part-time, when we are based here it never feels crowded.
There's a really spacious double living room with Sky TV, 3 sofas and the other half we use for working + a couple of bikes. On the lower ground floor, we have a huge kitchen with plenty of space for everyone to cook + gather in with french doors out to the garden.
We also have two bathrooms - one shower room on the ground floor and one large bathroom with a rolltop bath (we're classy like that).
The two rooms available are both large doubles with plenty of space + garden views - what could be better!
The garden has lots of established greenery, trees and we even tried our hand at gardening (I don't think there was craft or skill we didn't attempt in lockdown). A really nice spot for reading, garden yoga (which we managed a few times), or a glass of something and a BBQ when the weather is better.
*Bills are not included but approx 70 quid a month.
About Us:
The housemates are great, both doing a bit of working in the office and working from home. Gareth works in the Music industry and Russell works for an environmental NGO and they are super friendly + fun guys, who love cooking, hanging out in the house, or grabbing a few drinks at the local. Everyone also has their own space too and we're very respectful of that too. Our house has become our sanctuary so we look after it and keep the landlord happy. Win-win! :)
Since meeting through SpareRoom we've become a little family and, although we're gutted to see two of the gang leave, we so look forward to welcoming some lush newbies to the house. We've got to secure the two new people by the end of the month so the landlord can carry out their checks, so get in there ASAP!
