Description
Hi everyone!
I am moving out of this lovely house at the start of December so looking for someone to fill my room.
The room is a small double. The room is technically unfurnished, so nothing actually comes with the room except for the wardrobe. I am happy to sell the desk, bed frame, shelves, and chest of drawers for a grand total of £150 (they cost in total over double that). We can negotiate on this if you have furniture to bring. I will be taking the mattress, wall mirror, and under bed storage with me.
The house itself is a lovely end terrace with a bright, spacious living room, a large kitchen, and a nice little garden out back.
There is a bathroom upstairs with a bath and shower. There is also a spare toilet downstairs and a coat rack under the stairs (with some shoe storage space). In terms of additional storage there are 2 large sheds out the back and also an attic!
Bills are not included, which run to about £105pcm at the moment - this includes energy, internet, and council tax. Water is paid roughly quarterly at about £30-40 each. Council tax is band C.
The rent is £700pcm, paid via standing order to the estate agent Hunters on or before the 6th of the month. The deposit is £692 which is payable directly to me - when this has been received Hunters will process the change of name on the tenancy deposit scheme and change the contract names. There is a name change fee of about £50 which I will pay.
Hunters will require referencing - professionals only I'm afraid. They can be funny if you're not in full time contracted employment.
The area itself is quiet and easy to live in. It is walking distance to Herne Hill (and Brockwell park), East Dulwich, and Denmark Hill train stations. There are also good bus connections to Camberwell, and Brixton if you want to get the tube. There's a big Sainsburys about 10 minutes away, as well as a smaller supermarket, post office, and chemist directly across the road which is all very handy.
You’ll be living with 3 other housemates. Molly (28, works in digital advertising), Antonia (29, works as a journalist), and Wesley (32, works for an NHS trust). We get on well and are happy to chat but also have our own lives and are fine with whatever balance you wish to draw. This is an LGBT+ friendly house with a mix of orientations.
Let me know if you have any questions. We will be conducting visits fairly soon, likely starting from Monday 25th November onwards.
Based on the competition for properties and our tight personal schedules we won't be able to offer everyone viewings and responses to messages may be delayed. Sorry about that but we are doing our best!
