Double Room in 2Bed Flat, East Dulwich

Hello Lovely Londoners,

I’m looking for someone to take over my flatmate’s room, as he is sadly moving out in July. The contract is for one year, and the move-in date is somewhat flexible.

The flat is a newly built, two-bedroom ground-floor property in a small, six-flat apartment complex in East Dulwich. Peckham Rye Park is just a minute away, and Lordship Lane is a 5-minute walk. East Dulwich (10 mins) and Peckham Rye (12 mins) train stations are nearby, along with excellent bus connections to Central London.

The available room is a good-sized double with a built-in wardrobe. It comes unfurnished apart from a shelving unit, and it gets plenty of natural light. There’s a spacious living area with room for a desk if you work from home. The kitchen is fully fitted, including a dishwasher. The bathroom is small but modern, with a good-sized bath and excellent water pressure.

The flat is rented directly from a very relaxed landlord. Rent is £1,050 + bills, which usually come to around £200-230 depending on the season. This covers gas, electricity, water, high-speed Wi-Fi, council tax, TV licence, and a cleaner who comes every two weeks (£40/month per person). Deposit is £1,125.

You’d be sharing with myself and my Maine Coon cat, Earl Grey. I’m in my mid-thirties and work in neuroscience research at King’s. We are both very relaxed, social, and easy-going, and enjoy dinners and movie nights. Friends and family are always welcome.
