Description
Cute double room available in a two-bedroom flat in East Dulwich. Looking for someone friendly and considerate who is looking for a homely vibe not just a room to rent.
A bit about the flat: the location is great - Peckham Rye common is on the doorstep with pretty Lordship Lane and cool Peckham in easy reach. East Dulwich station is a 15 minute walk away and Peckham Rye overground is 20 minutes - plus there are buses from outside the house that will get you to both stations and into central London.
The flat is furnished with separate kitchen and living room, we would share a bathroom and your room is a good size with a bed that can pull out to be a double, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a desk. (The picture is from before the wardrobe arrived but you’ll see it if you come for a viewing.)
The rent is £800 a month and bills (council tax, gas, electricity, water, internet) range from £125 the summer to about £150 in the winter. The room is available from September 1 and a later move in date could be sorted too. I’m open to short-term or longer-term stays. I think initially having a month-to-month rolling agreement would work best.
A bit about me: I’m 36, a freelance journalist, sober, I love yoga, reading, long walks, rummaging around a charity shop, spending time with friends, all the usual! I WFH from a desk in the living room but I will pack all that up at 6 everyday so the living room is free for us both to enjoy in the evenings and at weekends.
I’d love to find a housemate that is around my age (so 30 plus would be brilliant), who is friendly and considerate, keeps the common parts of the flat clean and tidy, and is interested in living somewhere that feels like a home (and doesn’t want to bring the party home). It would probably be difficult if we both WFH FT so ideally someone who mainly works in an office. Would be great if we could become friends but happy to just be housemates too.
Please do reach out if this sounds like a living arrangement that could work for you - and tell me a little bit about yourself in your message, your age, your job, where you’re moving from etc. I’ll be arranging viewings in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks!
