Large double with ensuite in chill, sociable house

Hello!

We are Sally, Josh, Gwyd, and Chloë, friends/previous housemates looking for a new home as our landlord is selling our current house near Brockwell Park :( . We have found a wonderful house in a prime location in East Dulwich—close to parks, well connected, and recently refurbished—that we think will be a great new home for us. There’s tons of communal space, separate living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as a great garden ❤️

We are looking for someone to take the fourth bedroom, which is a very large double bedroom with en-suite (pictures and video attached). The room will be £966 pcm + bills.

The whole place is unfurnished so (unless you have your own furniture) we will all be in the same boat sourcing things from freecycle/marketplace etc, and we’ll probably hire a van or something to pick things up if we need. We really want to make it a home so will build up the furniture in the communal rooms as we go. The agent has given us the go ahead to paint over the wallpaper in the living room too, so we can really put our stamp on it.

A bit about us (Ad ref # 13449550):
We’re all 27–32, sociable, friendly, and pretty fun (if we say so ourselves). Three of us are professionals working in respiratory health, neuroscience, and production, and one is finishing their PhD in animal behaviour. We all try to keep healthy and have our creative sides too: Josh is writing his first novel, Gwyd is into his squash, Chloë’s exploring freediving, and Sally is a keen gardener—and we all love a cold dip in Brockwell Lido!

As a household, we all do our own thing and have active social lives outside the house, but we also like hanging out with each other and often end up eating dinner, watching TV, or going for a drink together. Our vibe is pretty chill and we like it when people bring friends round. We also love hosting the occasional house party!

Three of us have been living together for a few years, so we already know we work well as housemates. We’re good at keeping the place tidy and communicating with each other. Chloë is Gwyd’s long-term partner who gets on really well with everyone and has spent enough time at ours for us to think she’d be a nice person to live with too. We all want to put the effort in to making our new place a real home.

Who would be a good fit:
We’re looking for someone with a similar energy to us, who has their own life but is up for being a part of the household. Another professional would probably be best. A couple of us work from home all or part of the time, so you need to be okay with others around in the day. Queer folks and allies welcome!
