Description
Hello!
We’ve got a small but cosy and bright room to rent in our lovely home in East Dulwich (right by Peckham Rye). We’re 3 housemates - Inga, Ada and Lucy - looking for another lovely person to join our home 😊
We’ve got a cute garden which will hopefully be filled with veggies again next summer and a sunny living room with a projector for movie nights!
We’d like someone to move in at the beginning of December.
The rent for the room is £500.
About the house:
• 4 bedrooms
• Yours will be a small bedroom looking out onto the garden with a double bed and bedside table. There is storage space available in other parts of the house for you as well.
• Shared living room with a comfy large sofa
• 2 bathrooms
• Kitchen with doors opening into our lovely garden
• Utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer
• Quiet road in lovely East Dulwich with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby
• Close to buses (12, 40, 63, 363) into central London and near Peckham Rye and East Dulwich overground/train stations
• Bills are around £100 a month each
About us:
We’re Inga, Ada and Lucy - we’re all pretty easy-going and tidy, enjoy a bit of telly, cooking, and the odd trip to the theatre.
Inga - originally from Germany, works in the civil service and loves picnics and cooking, cycling around London and going to the theatre but sometimes also needs to swap London for hikes and nature.
Ada - is an Italian-Nigerian, who works as a photo librarian for an engineering and design firm. Enjoys going to art galleries, watching films, cycling, and scouting for fashion items to add to her clothing collection.
Lucy - is from Birmingham, and teaches French and Spanish. She likes travelling, film, meditation, hiking, and is currently learning Italian!
About you:
Someone of a similar age (late twenties/early/mid-thirties) who is looking for a peaceful place to live. The room would suit someone who doesn’t need very much space or who would be happy to make the most of the space in the room e. g. by adding shelves or putting in a single bed. In its current set up, the space would not suit someone who needs to work from their room, but if you do work from home, there is the option to occasionally work from the living room.
We’re looking for someone who wants a home to live in rather than just a room but the room might also be a good fit for someone who perhaps just needs a bed in London for part of the week. Either way, it’d be lovely to have a drink and a chat in the evening or watch some TV together now and then!
Ping us a message if you think you’d be a good fit. We're planning to hold viewings in the evening on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th November, so please include your availability on these dates in your message 😊
