Description
Hi there!
I’m Josh, and I’m looking for someone to move into the second bedroom in my flat in East Dulwich. I’ll be living here too, along with my girlfriend Ellie.
A little about us:
I'm 31 and work as a psychiatrist in South London. Outside of work, I’m really into music (especially electronic music/DJing). I also love reading, and socialising locally, e. g. going to the pub or cinema. It’d be great to find someone who’s up for some social outings every now and then, but also values their own space! Ellie is also 31, works as a secondary school teacher and shares a lot of interests with me (especially DJing).
About the room and flat:
The flat is on the 2nd floor of Altima Court (3 floors total), and you’ll be taking the second bedroom, which comes fully furnished (double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside tables). The flat has 2 bathrooms—one of which is an ensuite attached to my bedroom, so you’ll have the main bathroom (though it will also be used by guests). There’s a bright, open-plan living/dining area (with balcony) that leads into the kitchen. Ellie and I have some music equipment in the living room, and regularly use that space, but outside of those times (or if you don’t mind listening to our tunes too) you’re also welcome to relax in the space as well.
The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, and you’ll have your own cupboards and space in the fridge/freezer. Bills come to £100 per month (council tax, utilities, and high-speed internet.)
There’s also a basement car park I use for my car, but I can give you access if you need it for moving in. Longer-term, there’s 24-hour free street parking nearby.
Location: The flat is really well-located, just off Goose Green and close to Peckham Rye Common and Lordship Lane. East Dulwich Station is a 10-minute walk (national rail to London Bridge), and Peckham Rye Station is around 15 minutes (Windrush Line). Plus, there are plenty of local buses to Brixton and Camberwell. You’ve also got supermarkets, gyms, pubs, cinemas, and more, all within easy walking distance.
What I’m looking for:
I’m hoping to find a single, working professional who is respectful of the space and who’ll be easy to get along with. The minimum stay is 3 months, but if things go well, it’s very likely we can extend for a year or more. I want the flat to feel like home for all of us, and it’d be great to share it with someone who’s relaxed and friendly!
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Josh
