Description
I’m renting a a cozy garden flat on a victorian terraced road and looking for a flatmate to come join me.
About the flat:
The flat is a cozy garden flat on a quiet residential road just off Peckham Rye. Its highlight is a massive private garden, giving you a peaceful haven all year round. The kitchen/living room and bathroom will be shared along with the utility room that includes a tumble dryer (especially convenient in winter!) The bedroom that’s for rent has high ceilings, is off the street so it’s quiet, and comes with a built in closet. I have some furniture but if you’re coming with your own I can definitely accommodate!
Location:
Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood near the lovely green spaces of Peckham Rye, Dulwich Park and Dulwich Woods. Just down the road from both Peckham and East Dulwich, allowing you access to Peckham nightlife or Lordship Lane’s villager vibes - the best of both worlds.
Transport links:
Peckham Rye is the nearest station (for overground, Thameslink, and trains). But Forest Hill, Honor Oak and East Dulwich stations are also reachable by a quick bus ride. And there are lots of bus connections to choose from to get you to central London.
Bills:
The listed rent excludes bills. Bills come to £150–£190pm and include: council tax, utilities, broadband – we’ll split actuals 50/50.

About me
I’m a 37 year old professional female, American but have been living in London for 13 years. I’ve been in the flat for the last year and a half after living north of the river for a long time. I’m joined by my dog Dudley, a goofy, affectionate labradoodle who will be eager to make you his new best friend. I’m active and social but I also love having dinners and cozy nights at home. I work from home Mondays and Fridays and am in the office the rest of the week.
About you:
Looking for professional 30–47 year olds. Must be tidy, respectful and easy-going and must be a dog lover (Dudley won’t give you a choice). I’d love someone who is happy to have a chat or share a meal, but who is also content on their own.
Big plus if you WFH and are willing to lend a hand with Duds on those days.
⸻
My current flatmate is moving to live with his partner, but here is what he said about the flat and living with me and Duds:
“Shelby and Dudley are wonderful housemates… Friendly, tidy and respectful. We’ve had a lot of fun living together and I’m sad to be moving on!”
⸻
Please message on here with some information about yourself and what you’re looking for. If it seems like it could be a good fit we can arrange a viewing over the next week.
Looking for someone to move in mid-January.
