Description

The room:
Freshly painted and carpeted, lovely north facing room with a big double glazed sash window looking out onto a calm residential suburban street. There's a comfy foam mattress on a slatted ottoman bed that lifts up to reveal plenty of storage underneath. The rest of the room will be furnished and curtains/blinds added. The room is ideal for someone who doesn't have much stuff to move and likes a minimal tidy space that's ready to go...

The flat:
The flat is a small top floor flat (no noisy neighbours above you) in a converted old building with its own front door. There's a fully equipped kitchen with everything you'll need and a shared bathroom too. We have been renovating the space and expect by the time you move in the rest of the work will be done hence the lack of pictures. All bills are included, gas, electricity, internet etc. As well as all cleaning supplies and laundry products, we bulk order our favourite eco supplies from places like Ethical Super Store. We're currently putting down new wooden flooring in the lounge and repainting everything…

Your new flatmates:
We're Paul and Craig, a queer couple, both working professionals in the city, working in somewhat creative worlds. Craig works in theatre and I work in retail/fashion and the arts. We're both in our mid 30s and are vegetarians for the most part and like a meat free kitchen. We're live in land lords so we like to think we take good care of the space and it means you wouldn't have to deal with any rental agencies or absent land lords/ladies. We like chilled nights in, a bit of cooking, a glass of wine, a board game, tv, we also love going out and about in the neighbourhood, as there are many great pubs and restaurants around. But we're not party animals or the kind of people to be out all night, we like a calm and clean home...

The neighbourhood:
East Dulwich station is a 15min walk away and then 15mins by train to London Bridge. Alternatively there are bus stops all around, it's very easy to take a bus to Peckham Rye station too and from there the overground. There are also bike lockers all around and it's very easy to cycle everywhere. Marks and Spencers, Sainsbury's, all a walk away as is Lordship Lane which has lots to offer. My favourite local restaurant is Evi's and I love going to LaLa Books. On Saturdays there's a small market on North Cross Road. Plus plenty of parks and green spaces nearby and the leisure centre. We're close to Peckham and Camberwell too which are also great neighbourhoods. In short there is a lot going on all around you...
