Description
Double Room Available in East Dulwich – Looking for a Woman or Non-Binary Housemate.
We’re looking for a woman or non-binary person to join our home on Whateley Road, just off Lordship Lane, as one of our housemates is moving in with her partner (only about a 10-minute walk away!)
The house will be home to the three of us: Courtnee, who works for Formula 1, Ceylon and I, who both work for different charities. We all met playing football for Dulwich Hamlet, and sport is a big part of our lives, so you’d have to be happy with football (and the odd bit of other sport!) on the TV.
The room itself is spacious and bright, and we’re lucky to have a genuinely lovely landlord. Rent and bills include unlimited heating and water, plus a cleaner every fortnight, which makes life that little bit easier.
What really makes this house special, though, is the community around it. Over the past few years, a group of our closest friends, many of whom we also met through football have intentionally rented nearby, so we’ve built a brilliant little neighbourhood. It’s not unusual for us to have impromptu dinners, BBQs, pub trips, walks, or watch football together, and there’s always someone around if you fancy company.
That said, we also really value our own space. The house is big enough that everyone has their own routine, and it’s completely normal to go a few days without seeing each other if work or life is busy. We love living together because there’s a great balance: a friendly, sociable home when you want it, and plenty of peace and privacy when you don’t.
We’re looking for someone who’d enjoy becoming part of that balance, someone who’s kind, considerate, easy-going, and excited by the idea of joining not just a house, but a really welcoming community.
If that sounds like your kind of home, we’d love to hear from you.
