Description
Hello! We are two professionals, easy-going, tidy and considerate - looking for a like-minded third person to join us as we renew the tenancy in the flat for another year. We have our own circles of friends but when we're both in during the evening we'll often spend some time together and catch up. We would like for the person who joins us to feel this is a place they can call home. Brendon works in political affairs and has lived in the flat for almost 9 years and enjoys all the cultural aspects of London life. Lauren has lived in the flat for 1.5 years and is an Aussie expat who enjoys hiking, sports, photography and travelling, who's been in London since 2019 and works in PR + comms. Our flatmate is leaving to move in with her partner having lived here for 5 years.
About the room:
The bedroom - which has an en-suite with toilet and walk-in shower - will be unfurnished as what is pictured is our outgoing flatmate's. As you can see in the photos, plenty of room for a double bed, wardrobe, desk, chest of drawers etc.
About the Flat:
High spec 3-bed flat with roof terrace at the end of Lordship Lane near Goose Green in East Dulwich (Zone 2). Flat was new in January 2017 and has a really spacious open plan reception area and kitchen + an outdoor terrace which are pictured.
Rent & bills:
£980pcm rent excluding bills.
Bills (energy, council tax, internet) are approx. £90 per month with water about every 6 months (approx. £200 for the whole year).
The Area:
Pretty much everything you need day-to-day is on our doorstep or a very short walk away. The flat is just off Lordship Lane which has a lot of great coffee places, bakeries, shops, pubs/restaurants and a Picturehouse Cinema. We're also only a 15 minute walk from Peckham. Peckham Rye Park is only a 5 min walk and Dulwich Park about 15 mins. There's a leisure centre with a gym a few mins away, with other gyms nearby too. There is a large Sainsbury's just up the road, and right by the flat on Lordship Lane you've got Co-op, M&S Foodhall, and Tesco.
Transport:
Really well connected, despite no Underground.
Trains: East Dulwich station is a 7-8 minute walk away and will take you to London Bridge in 13 minutes.
Peckham Rye/Denmark Hill stations around 5 minutes away by bus and it takes 10-15 minutes to get into Victoria or Blackfriars.
Overground: Peckham Rye/Denmark Hill are also both on the Overground, going west to Clapham Junction and East to Dalston Junction.
Buses: Leave from right outside the flat go to Brixton/Clapham (37), Oval/Victoria (185), Farringdon (40), and Waterloo/Trafalgar Square (176).
Any questions just let us know and we can arrange a viewing!
