I have a furnished double en-suite room available near East India DLR station (2-3 mins walk) in a spacious and cosy two bedroom flat in the Newport Avenue area with a shared living room, kitchen and small balcony. You would be sharing with one professional and we would deal with the landlord directly so there are no agency fees to pay.
The flat is walking distance to the centre of Canary Wharf and also a short walk to Canning Town station (which has the Jubilee Line). It is also just 12 mins on the DLR to Bank/Monument station.
The rent is £900 a month excluding bills. All bills are split 50:50 and are around £230 per month (slightly higher in winter) and include Hyperoptic broadband, council tax, central heating, electricity and gas and a cleaner every two weeks.
The flat has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric hobs and oven, fridge and freezer, and central heating. The living room has a couch, dining table and a work desk.
My current flatmate is moving out near the end of November so I am looking for a new flatmate to take his place on the agreement with our landlord. A security deposit of 2 month's rent is required which will be £1800.
I am a chartered accountant working in professional services with a corporate finance-esque client-facing role in a 'Big 4' accounting firm. My current flatmate is a civil engineer working for a well known property developer.
The flat would be ideal for a busy professional looking for a homely place to unwind; in a nice area with easy access to public transport. I am a big believer in respecting personal privacy and am pretty goal-oriented so I am usually busy with my own fast-paced work and life, but enjoy having a chat over a drink or two every so often.
