Description
Hi all,
I am looking for a new flatmate to move in at the beginning of December, subject to landlord’s checks as my current flatmate has decided not to extend his side of the tenancy. I am posting this slightly early as I’d like to get to know someone beforehand.
About me:
My name is George, I’m originally from Cornwall but moved to London a couple of years ago. I’ve developed absolutely no social life since moving, so I’d really like someone who is likeminded with similar interests and wouldn’t mind spending time in together on occasion. My interests are history, nature, hiking, walking, countryside, gaming, cooking (I make a MEAN roast!). I work in Property Management in the city, so I really like the idea of coming home to a lovely quiet sanctuary.
The flat:
The flat is on the top floor of a beautiful converted Edwardian house on a very quiet, pleasant road. I have included photos of my own room (with the skylight) to show off the vibe of the property, as I don’t think the photos of the available room gives it much justice. It’s a fairly large double room which includes a divan bed. The living room overlooks lots of greenery and the area is very quiet, with lots of parakeets!
The living room is very large, but I’ve worked really hard at making it as cosy as possible and includes a dining area, so it’s the perfect space to have a few friends over for wine and snacks!
The flat is about a 5 minute walk from the very picturesque Green Man and Telegraph pubs by Putney Heath/Wimbledon Common, which are fantastic areas for long walks and getting a little bit of country-esque nature into your life. It takes around 10 minutes to walk into Putney high street and East Putney tube station and there is a Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Lidl, and an abundance of lovely independent shops, pubs and bars, and charity shops. There is also Fulham palace and gardens directly across the bridge.
The flat doesn’t come with parking, however there is a ‘first come, first serve’ space outside the flat, otherwise there are opportunities to obtain a permit in the area.
If you have any questions, please do let me know. It would be great to get to know someone over the next couple of months and find the perfect fit for us both! As I said, I haven’t really met anyone in London since moving, so it would be great to get to know someone and develop a friendship, which is something I haven’t had the opportunity to do currently.
I’m not used to posting ads for flatmates so I have no idea what to include!
