Description
Spacious and light double room for rent in a lovely neighbourhood.
I am a live-in landlord in a spacious three story house in East Putney. The house is under 10 mins walk from the local park, the river/water taxi, the amenities of wandsworth town, and East Putney tube/Putney mainline station. It's a great place to live :)
The room is a generous size double. Though it doesn't have an ensuite, there is a shower/bathroom on the same floor. I have my own en-suite shower upstairs so it would primarily be for you to use (I only go in there to have a bath). The room was the master bedroom for the previous owners, and has really good inbuilt wardrobe space. Currently there is a double bed in there, but this can be taken out if you've got your own.
The house is a four/five bed so there is plenty of room - last year the kitchen/living area was updated and now it's a great relaxing and entertaining space.
I have lived here since 2014, when I returned from a year out in Sydney. Since then, I have always lived with friends or friends-of-friends... At one point there were five of us, but now it just me and my dog Barney, an 8 y/o wheaten terrier :) Any applicants will have to be fellow dog-lovers please!
I'm friendly, sociable and easy-going - though I am quite houseproud so I would expect a housemate to be respectful and tidy in the spaces we share. A cleaner visits once a week, which is included in the bills/rental.
I work part-time, so am home on Monday and Tuesday. If you WFH Weds-Fri, you are welcome to use a bedroom that I have converted into a small study area. There is also a small garden... though tbh this won't be much use for the next few months!
Most weekends I am out and about, but I do stay in most school nights and am looking for someone that is easy company to be around; having always lived with friends, I am going to try and find someone that I get on with well. Though the room is available now, I am looking for the right fit in terms of a housemate so I am in no rush to fill it. I am not looking to live with a couple, and please only contact me if you are over 34 - I think it's important that we align in terms of lifestyles.
Best of luck with your search :)
(Council tax band is G - council tax is included in rent)
