Large room-private entrance-family home

Our home is a 4 storey spacious family town house in a quiet, leafy area of East Putney close to the tube (5 mins), rail (10 mins), river boat (10 mins) and Wandsworth park. The A3 is nearby for routes out of London. The room is large and situated in our light and airy lower ground floor, which has its own private entrance and is nicely secluded from the rest of the house. We are close to the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of Putney, Wandsworth Town and Wimbledon Village.

The room measures 4. 1 x 4. 9m into the sunny shuttered bay window (double glazed) and looks out over the front garden. It has high ceilings, a period fireplace and is recently decorated with new carpets. There is a double bed, desk, plenty of storage, a large stylish leather sofa , TV aerial point and high speed wireless broadband. There is secure locked storage for bikes under the stairs. At the end of the bright, wide hallway there is a utility room (washer, dryer, additional freezer etc) and use of a contemporary shower room and toilet. Upstairs there’s shared use of our huge modern kitchen (dishwasher, double oven, microwave, large fridge freezer, 5 ring gas hob) and stunning dining room / lounge area which overlooks the back garden. The house is professionally cleaned weekly and fresh bed linen and towels are provided regularly. All bills are included.

I work in education and my husband is a musician. We have 2 young children and a Canadian au pair. The room is available from the beginning of October; our previous Mon-Fri lodger started a new job close to home. There is 1 other bedroom at the rear of the lower ground floor where Paul (a lawyer) who is our other Mon-Fri lodger stays and returns to his family in Cornwall at the weekends. We’re now ideally looking for someone (male or female) for a minimum of 3 months who would enjoy the independence of being self-contained in a spacious peaceful home. We are a warm and welcoming busy family and we have really enjoyed having Mon-Fri lodgers for the past 6 years.

MON-FRI ONLY PLEASE. Not full time occupancy.
