I’m looking for a flatmate to replace me in this two-bedroom, two-bathroom, bright and spacious second-floor flat in the East Village at Olympic Park in Stratford.
The room:
The room available is a large double bedroom with en-suite, furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 side tables. There’s also plenty of space for a desk.
The flat:
The flat is located right in the heart of East Village and has a lovely view of greenery in the summer and of the city skyline in the distance in the winter.
The flat is modern and clean with a large living area, an open-plan kitchen, and a dining area. There is a 6-seater dining table, 2 large sofas and a coffee table, making it a lovely space to relax. The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven, dishwasher, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, washing and drying machine. There is also a good-sized balcony.
The flat is a stone's throw away from the Westfield and all the amenities we have available here (cafes, bars, restaurants, gyms, deli, butchers, a Sainsbury’s and Waitrose).
The flatmate:
You'll be sharing with one other flatmate who is a 24-year-old male software engineer whom I've lived with for the past 18 months, and I is a clean, tidy and easy to live with person.
Local transport:
Stratford International station, the DLR and Overground is about 5-10 minutes away, and Stratford station (underground) isn't much further.
Important Details:
Rent: £1,290 excl bills (tenancy has 2 years to run so any increases will be CPI-linked for the duration, current rent is locked in till Sept 2026)
Bills: ~£150 /month each
Parking: available at extra cost
Deposit: £1,160 to be held with Tenancy Deposit Scheme
Move-in date: 1st December 2025 (can be flexible up to a week before)
The flat is a joint tenancy with Get Living (the landlord). They have a simple process for setting up the lease and will ask for proof of ID, income and references. I’ve had a great experience with Get Living so far (unlike every other landlord in London I’ve had), with them responding really quickly to a couple of minor repairs I've requested.
