I’m sadly moving out of my en-suite double bedroom at East Village in January. This double en-suite bedroom comes fully furnished with a double bed, a nightstand, a chest of drawers, and a large wardrobe.
The flat itself is a three bedroom flat, modern, clean and well-equipped with everything you need: washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer etc
The current housemates are two professionals (Svetlana and Damiana) and spending the last three years with them has been bliss! Svetlana is a beauty products guru, who also loves F1, while Damiana is our Third Space Queen. They are both very social (if you enjoy pub quizzes and the occasional pint in Hackney Wick, you’ll fit right in) but also respectful of each other’s privacy.
Details about the full cost:
* Rent is £1,350/ month (includes broadband)
* Bills are about £110/ month in total (water, electricity, energy, council tax)
* The landlord Get Living will require you to earn 30 times the monthly rent to be able to pass referencing.
The Olympic village is a great place to live and is very well connected: 3 minute walk to the DLR or Stratford International station with the high speed rail (7 minutes to St Pancreas international) and a 10-15 minute walk to Stratford station (Central line, Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line, DLR, Overground, trains to Liverpool Street etc.) Stansted airport is within an hour on a bus or a train.
The neighbourhood itself is full of great coffee place and restaurants. Plenty of choices for your food shopping: Sainsbury’s local, big Waitrose at Westfield. If you like working out, you’ll have plenty of options too with The Gym Group, Anytime Fitness gym and Gymbox. Finally, if you like to discover the East side of London, Hackney Wick, the Olympic park, Hackney Marshes, Regent’s canal and Victoria Park are just a short walk away and is are great places for casual walks, cycle or runs.
The neighbourhood is well kept, clean and safe, well lit at night with local dedicated security.
