Description

We are looking for a 3rd flatmate to join us in our LGBTQ+ friendly house/flat from the 27th of March. You can ask to move in sooner if you prefer that, but the contract will start on that day.

It is located in the East Village, meters away from the Velodrome. A really quiet flat with 3 floors of space, large windows, lots of light, and just a nice place to live in, really.

The rent is £800 + bills (around £150, including council tax). The deposit is around £850.

The house has a huge rooftop where we grow some veg and flowers in summer, a nice and spacious shared living room, and a bike storage by the entrance of the building. The flat can be accessed by stairs, there’s no lift and the landlord, Max, is just lovely (she doesn’t live with us, but we text her from time to time when a repair is needed). The contract is for 1 year, but it will change to a rolling one after the new tenancy law comes into effect in May. The property is managed by an agency, and they will require references: Passport, proof of right to live and work, previous landlord/agency, and 3 months' payslips or bank statements. Unfortunately, benefits or pets are not allowed.

The house is fully equipped and in a quiet and cool area. We would like to keep it clean and quiet, and we have a rota system in place for cleaning. There are two shared toilets, one upstairs and another one downstairs, for just the two of us, as Pui has a private one in her room. We mainly work in the morning, which means we are not fans of “hard parties” or late-night noise and prefer a peaceful environment most of the time. However, we welcome doing activities together and always communicate with each other in case there are special days to celebrate. We are quite open about doing socials with friends from time to time, but we are always considerate when we do it. “Respect for others” is our motto.

About us:

I'm Antonio (32M), currently doing a professional Doctorate in Psychology at the University of East London until September, which means half of the time I am doing research and the other half I am working. My schedule is flexible, so I usually work from home a few days per week. I consider myself quite an active/healthy person, and I tend to use the bike to move around London. My favourite sport is bouldering (I will be happy to introduce you to it if you are interested!) I also love board games, chess, playing guitar, films and series.

Pui (27F) is a full-time employee in a tattoo studio and is also about to become a tattoo artist. She loves arts, drawing, painting and baking. She sometimes makes cakes or bread for us to eat.

Ideally, we are looking for someone more than just a flatmate, a friend who we can talk to. We don’t like the idea of living just in a flat, we want to create A HOME where we all feel comfortable and happy.

Please ask us any questions you might have! We are really excited to start showing this amazing flat and hopefully be our new flatmate.
