Double bed in East Village

I’m moving out of my double bedroom after 1.5 years to move in with my girlfriend. I’ve really loved living here, the area is great and the house is super convenient, so I’m looking for someone to take over my spot.

The room is a bright, modern double with plenty of storage. You’ll be sharing the bathroom with one other person, who is very clean and organised. The rest of the household consists of laid-back working professionals who are easy to get along with. We have a large shared kitchen/living area and access to a gated garden.

The Setup
• No deposit: No big upfront cost to move in.
• Maintenance: The agent is very responsive — any time I’ve had an issue, they’ve been quick to fix it.

The Location

I’m honestly going to miss how close everything is:
• Gym & parks: 2-minute walk to a new gym; 5 minutes to the Olympic Park (great for a run or walk).
• Shopping: 5-minute walk to Westfield.
• Transport: 5 minutes to Stratford International (DLR/high-speed); 13 minutes to Stratford Station (Elizabeth, Jubilee, and Central lines).
• Commute: Around 20 minutes door-to-door to Canary Wharf and 25 minutes to Liverpool Street.

Practical Details
• Move-in: Looking for someone to take over from March 1st 2026.
• Bills: Shared, usually around £100–£150 per month.
• Council Tax: Band C.
• The catch: The agency has a strict affordability check — you’ll need an annual salary of at least 30× the monthly rent to pass referencing.
