Double room available in spacious and homely 3-bedroom Elephant and Castle flat.

Move-in date 22nd July, rent: £865 p/m plus bills (usually around £115 p/m inc. council tax), and you’ll initially be signing a 6-month contract, which we can then renew or switch to rolling.

About the flat
- split-level maisonette on the top two floors of a house
- your room is on its own on the first floor, so is very private, and all the furniture apart from the shelves on the wall (double bed, bedside table, desk, chest of drawers, full-length mirror, built-in wardrobe) is staying
- two shared bathrooms
- large living/dining room and separate kitchen with breakfast bar
- space at the front of the house to chain a bike
- zone 1 location, 10 mins walk to Elephant and Castle or Kennington tube stations, two mins walk to Walworth Road for lots of bus routes, and loads of pubs, cafés, parks and supermarkets close by

About us
- Laura and Rosie, both 29, work in the Civil Service and the charity sector and have been friends since we were children! I (Laura) have lived in this flat for four years and love it, Rosie is just about to move in. We do a mixture of home and office working and there’s space in all the bedrooms to allow that.
- We’ve done lots to make this flat feel like home and are looking for someone that will treat it the same. We’re sociable and enjoy putting the world to rights over a glass of wine, doing bad renditions of Simon and Garfunkel songs, playing Monopoly Deal, doing parkrun, and growing (or killing!) too many plants. We also very much live our own separate lives and give each other space when we need it (I’ll often be found lying on the sofa with a book when I’ve had a long week!).

About you
- in your mid-late twenties / early thirties
- also keen on making it a cosy home environment and not just a place to sleep
- tidy and willing to do your fair share with cleaning and keeping the place feeling nice
- ideally would want to stay for the longer term, as we’re not looking to leave anytime soon
- bonus points if you have other favourite 60s songs to add to our repertoire, or green fingers to help us keep some plants alive!
