Description
Hi, nice to meet you!
Renting out a double bedroom and private bathroom from September 16th, 2024.
The apartment is located in Zone 1 between Borough station (5 min walk) and Elephant & Castle station (1 min walk). With only a 15 minute walk to London Bridge, you are extremely close to the city centre, living almost next door to food court Mercato Metropolitano. The area has gone through a massive regeneration over the last 5 years, with even more to come over the next 5 years..
The building is from 2018 and the apartment is located on the 5th floor. There are elevators, a 24h concierge, a gym and a private cinema. The cinema and common areas can be booked for private events.
As per the floor plan, this is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property, and it further boast a large kitchen, dining and living room - all in open plan.
Current flatmates: We live in the ensuite bedroom and are a Swedish-Cuban couple in our mid-thirties. Linus work as a partnership manager in the City and enjoys football, hiking and travelling. Jose is a mathematician teaching at LSE who enjoys cooking vegan meals and gaming. We mostly enjoy quiet evenings with a movie or a board game. A couple of days a week we will work from home.
We are open-minded as to who we live with, but preferably find someone vegetarian/vegan to share the kitchen with.
Bedroom: comes with built-in wardrobes, a double bed, and a side table. The bedroom is carpeted. You will also have a private bathroom just across the hallway from the bedroom. It is well-sized with a shower and towel rack.
Kitchen: beautiful, open plan kitchen with high-quality, integrated appliances (oven, fridge and freezer). Plenty of space for hosting dinners. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets and the entrance has two in-built closets, whereof one contain the combined washing and drying machine and a water softener. The water softener will have to be maintained with salt, but in return it gives you soft water. Wooden floors throughout.
Living room: big living room with a large couch, a coffee table, a small shelving unit, and a smart TV. The couch can transform into two single beds (or one double bed) in case you have guests sleeping over. Wooden floors throughout.
The apartment is facing one of London's 'living walls', which means you have no opposite neighbour.
EPC energy rating: B (85)
Rent: £1,500 including Council Tax.
Bills: £110
