Description
*Must be dog friendly! See below*
A ready-made home.
(Spareroom cut a massive chunk off the end of my video, sorry about that.)
King room in a new build, ultra-central London flat.
Bright, modern decor and amenities, lots of storage (see video) and all situated walking distance to the city centre.
We are on the 6th floor of a 9-floor building, with two lifts, a bike store, and an enclosed courtyard. The front door opens into a separate hallway, and there is an enclosed balcony with great views of both Canary Wharf and the Shard.
Your room is larger even than It appears in pictures. I purchased this flat because the guest bedroom was bigger than any of the other master bedrooms I'd viewed! It faces over the courtyard, with little to no street noise. It receives the morning sun and because the flat is so open plan it stays bright and airy until sunset. I have an ensuite so you have your own large bathroom, with a full size bath.
Everything you see in the pictures of the communal areas is included, making this a cosy, ready-made home in the heart of the city. Especially ideal for someone moving to London for work. The flat also has tonnes of storage for a central London home, including a large walk-in utility room.
I plan to use part of the rental income to continue improving the flat including new high-quality furniture for your room. Don't worry, the furniture in there now is also very high quality, in particular the king bed, which has an incredible mattress.
I'm currently living alone, and am fairly flexible with move-in dates, but earlier move-ins may get preference.
Your room:
- King bed
- Double wardrobe
- Large chest of drawers
- Bedside table with two drawers
- Two large under-bed drawers
- Large wooden desk
- A fancy looking chair
- An extremely good TV if you want it
Bills included in rent:
- Council tax
- Water
- Electricity
- Heating and hot water
- Internet (80 Mbps)
- Cleaner (weekly)
About me:
I'm Cal. I'm 36, sober, and I'm a technology consultant originally from Edinburgh. I'm very friendly and easy to get on with and I like to keep the flat clean and tidy. I like being around people and will occasionally have a friend or two round for the odd cup of coffee, but generally prefer to socialise away from home and use home as a chill zone.
I'm a standup and improv comedian in my spare time and I like bouldering, walking, music, videogames, art, and queer stuff.
About Elvis:
Elvis is a two year-old Irish doodle (poodle and Irish red setter cross). He is often described by vets, groomers, and literally everyone he meets as having the best personality they've ever met. He absolutely adores people and will very much want to be your best friend and glue himself to your hip, so note that to live here you must be comfortable with big dogs.
Elvis is my assistance dog, and outside of the home he helps me with some disability related matters. In the home he's an utter goofball. Because of how important his ongoing training is, however, I do need to ask that you be able to respect basic rules about how to interact with him (e. g. maintain boundaries, don't get him over-excited, absolutely no food to be given other than by me, no human food, etc). Don't worry, I'll tell you all you need to know and it's all very easy.
Because of Elvis' work, this also means the room isn't suitable for existing pet owners.
Thank you for reading. Check out the video if you haven't already, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
