I am moving back home at the end of the year and looking for someone to take fill a double room in one of the recently built high-rise apartments in Elephant and Castle.
The apartment is shared with two other housemates (Tom - 25 (m) and Iveta - 25 (f)). The apartment is kept nice and clean and has a lovely ambiance and a relaxed vibe, making it really feel like a home. It feels modern and is always kept neat and tidy.
It is on the 8th floor and has a balcony with beautiful sunrise/sunset views overlooking the city. The living room is spacious and the kitchen is fully kitted out for your needs. The bathroom is shared with a bath/shower, large mirror, and lots of storage. The room comes with a double bed, Emma mattress, plenty of wardrobe and chest of drawers storage space, desk and chair, bedside shelving, mirror. There is also a washer/dryer, a clothes rack, a toolkit, an iron and ironing board, and ample cleaning supplies in the apartment.
The apartment is located along a modern street filled with independent shops and gorgeous cafés near Elephant Park. E&C is in a vibrant and central area so there are plenty of eating opportunities to choose from and nearby shops a couple of minutes' walk (including a Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tesco, and Co-Op for weekly groceries.
It is a 5 minute walk from the tube station with direct lines into the city by bus and tube. Direct connections by the Bakerloo or Northern lines to central locations such as Oxford Street and Moorgate are approximately 20 mins. Links to London City Airport and Gatwick Airport are also convenient. There are regular all-night 24hr transport options linking E&C into more central going-out spots.
Some perks of the building are a 24hr concierge with high quality security, a resident's only garden park, a dedicated post room with a notification system, and occasional social evets. There are a lot of gym options nearby and study/workspace options, but there is also a small gym option in the building that is free to use and costs £30 for induction.
