🌿 Spacious Double Room + Private Bathroom Elephant & Castle | £1,350 pcm |Avail 2nd feb
Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to share my lovely 2-bed, 2-bath apartment in the heart of Elephant & Castle.
I’ve lived here for around 3 years and absolutely love it. The room is available because my current flatmate (stranger turned friend!) is moving abroad. I’m sad to see her go, but excited to find someone new to share this amazing space with.
📍 The Location
One of the main reasons I chose this apartment is the location. It really is hard to find such a modern, well maintained apartment in zone 1 at such an affordable price. We’re based in the vibrant Elephant & Castle regeneration area (Zone 1/2), with excellent transportation links. Elephant & Castle & Kennington stations are on our doorstep whilst Oval and Vauxhall stations are 15- 20mins walk. There are also frequent
buses that cover a large geographic patch including Westminster, London Bridge, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch. It’s perfect for busy commuters and also ideal if you’re new to London and keen to explore.
The area itself has loads going on, from quirky cafés, trendy bars, great restaurants, affordable gyms and yoga/pilates studios. You want it? Then we probably have it in the area.
We are also spoiled for choice when it comes
to grocery shopping. We have an Asda , Sainsbury and Tesco superstores along with a Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl meaning there’s something to suit everyone’s needs and generally makes day-to-day life really easy.
Despite being in such a lively area, the apartment is tucked away in a quiet residential pocket, so it feels calm, safe and peaceful at home.
🛏️ The Room
The available room is a generously sized double that feels noticeably larger than most London bedrooms. To give you an idea of the space the previous flatmate comfortably had a king-size bed plus freestanding furniture and the room still felt open and uncluttered.
The room is intentionally offered unfurnished, meaning you’re not inheriting furniture that doesn’t suit your taste. Instead, you have the freedom to take this blank canvas and style it in a way that reflects you and makes the space feel like home. I genuinely love seeing how new flatmates add their own personality and flair to the space.
You’ll also have sole use of a large, modern private bathroom, finished to a high standard and complete with a bath and overhead shower, heated towel rail, generous storage, WC and sink.
🏠 The Apartment
The apartment is bright, modern and really easy to live in, with a big open-plan kitchen and living area. There’s loads of natural light thanks to the large rear windows, which makes the space feel calm and airy. The shared areas are already furnished, but I’m very open to you bringing your own pieces so it feels like our home.
🏢 The Building
The building is modern and well looked after. We have a beautifully landscaped private residents’ courtyard that’s great for hosting summer socials. There’s also an enhanced security system in the building as well as a secure alarm system in our apartment which makes it safe and reassuring. If you own a bike you’ll be glad to know that there’s a secure indoor bike storage that can only be accessed by residents using a key or code.
Neighbours are lovely and genuinely look out for each other. I’ve had many occasions where neighbours have kept my deliveries in a safe place when I wasn’t at home.
💷 Rent & Availability
£1,350 pcm
Bills approx £100–£150 per person
Available from 6th February, with some flexibility if you need to move sooner
🙋♀️ A Bit About Me
I’m a working professional and I’m in the office most days a week, so if you work from home you’ll often have the place to yourself.
Previous flatmates would describe me as considerate, reliable and easy to get along with. My job can be pretty full-on, so I really value coming home to a calm, positive environment. My last flatmate and I were strangers before living together but ended up becoming good friends. This meant we would host the odd social, try new restaurants and generally enjoyed sharing a home.
I’d love to find someone who also wants a place that feels like home and not just somewhere to crash at night. We don’t need to be best friends, but getting along well, being respectful and keeping shared spaces nice is really important to me.
If this sounds like a good fit, please get in touch with a short intro and your availability for viewings😁
