Description
A new-build 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom flat on Southwark Bridge Road, 2 minutes walk from Elephant & Castle station.
I loved living here, it has everything I need. But it's time for the next chapter in my life and I'd like to pass on the pleasure of living here to a tenant that can take good care of my apartment. As I lived here as a home for myself, I've taken a lot of care in choosing furniture and interior design. You have to view it in-person to appreciate it. I'd like to have a respectable tenant-landlord relationship so it would be great for you to view in person and have a chat.
From the pictures, you'll see that you will benefit from an amazing view from this flat given it's on a high floor (and London Eye fireworks on NYE!). It faces west so you'll have very nice sunset views when the sky is clear.
It is ~500 to 550sqft and feels very large given there is no wasted space for hallways / landing areas (basically a rectangle layout). The heating is underfloor which is amazing, but I hardly ever use it because insulation is very good with these apartments.
Available to move in from 30 March 2026. Property is offered fully furnished as per the pictures. Carpets were re-done and walls re-painted just over a year ago.
---Building amenities---
24/7 concierge (an amazing team!)
Residents-only gym: dumbbells up to 20kg, cable machines, cardio machines, some calisthenics/crossfit equipment. It's not huge but it's always empty.
Cinema room: that can be booked for private use
Function room: very large, can be booked for private use / parties
Garden: communal residents-only garden on the ground floor
Bike parking: Secure bicycle parking in the basement
Cafe: Old spike on ground floor
---Apartment stuff---
~50sqm
Underfloor heating
Washer/dryer
Dishwasher
Inbuilt air purifying system: Nuaire MVHR system which helps supply fresh, filtered and clean air into the apartment, and extracts damp stale air
Storage: 2 large built-in storage cupboards in the living room + 2 built-in wardrobes in the bedroom
Furnished: Comes with most furniture as pictured - I can leave some stuff if you like, eg. the 75-inch TV I bought not long ago
---Proximities---
2min to E&C station
9min to Borough station
14min to Southwark station (or <5min bike)
2min to nearest Tesco (small)
5min to big Sainsburys
5min to Elephant Park (Cafes, Bars, Restaurants, etc)
17min walk to Tate Modern
16min walk to Borough Market - plenty of good restaurants there
Various stations that can take you to various airports quickly (all <20min walk away)
---Potential downsides of my flat---
Balcony: There isn't a balcony in the flat, but there is a garden on the ground floor!
AC: There is no air-conditioning in the flat, but I survived without it every summer and if you like there's always the option of plug-in portable ACs.
Nightclub: Ministry of Sound is very nearby, but I never found this to be an issue honestly - you barely hear anything when windows are closed. The only downside is there might be drunk (but harmless) people waiting for Ubers in the vicinity at 3-4AM.
Gym opening hours: The residents gym is only open 7am-11pm and does not have a barbell / squat rack. But there are plenty of solid gyms within minutes walk away.
Awkward bathroom location: The bathroom is an en-suite (located inside the bedroom), so when you have guests over they'll see your bedroom if they use the bathroom.
---Terms---
Short term tenancies will be considered at a higher rent
Maximum number of tenants is 2
