We are delighted to offer this fabulous Homeshare opportunity to live comfortably and affordably in North London in return for providing around 10-15 hours a week of practical support and companionship, to a delightful older couple.

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£240 per month), we are looking to match our homeowners with a kind and friendly mature female sharer who is happy to provide some daily companionship and practical support, and a reassuring presence at night. No personal care is permitted.

Our homeowners are in their early 90's, a friendly and welcoming couple, who have had interesting lives and are close to their family and grandchildren. They socialise sometimes and occasionally go out with family but mostly enjoy a simple quiet routine at home, reading or watching a good drama or documentary or watching sports, especially football, and keeping up with current affairs. The older gentleman is still driving and often keeps busy working on his computer and playing bridge with friends, and the lady enjoys chatting to friends and family on the phone.

A carer/housekeeper comes regularly during the week to help with showering, and with cooking, cleaning and laundry.

They have had two lovely sharers over the last five years and the current lady is sadly leaving to be closer to her work so we are looking to match a new sharer who wants comfortable and affordable accommodation in return for providing some practical support to the couple.

This opportunity would suit a caring and gentle mature female, warm and friendly aged 35-40+ who is either working or studying from home or on a hybrid/flexible basis, who is happy to help with simple meals, local grocery shopping, and errands, putting the bins out, answering the door to occasional deliveries and generally with any practical tasks that they find difficult. No personal care is required or permitted in a Homeshare.

** Cost: £240 per month**

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the homeowner but will be asked to pay a small monthly contribution towards bills. (Full time students are exempt from council tax.)
