A couple in their 70’s, one of whom has Dementia are seeking a positive and cheerful Sharer to share their home and give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

The Sharer would be asked to give a mix of some practical help around the house including shopping, cooking and sharing a few evening meals each week, picking things up, occasional help in the garden, simple DIY / IT and help with light household chores, plus the friendly company to the person with Dementia.

The accommodation on offer is large bedroom with double bed, chair, desk, and fitted wardrobe, lovely bathroom with separate shower room (shared) and small kitchen shared with one other Housemate who also gives some support. The main kitchen and family areas are on the floors below this accommodation but within the same house.

The property is conveniently located just 3-5 minutes’ walk from Finsbury Park Underground (Zone 2 – Piccadilly and Victoria Lines) and National Rail.

This would suit a male who is patient ( an understanding of Dementia would be useful) and who will be happy to help around the home but also spend time with the person with Dementia doing a puzzle, play cards games, go for a walk etc. An enjoyment of music, including The Beatles and classical music, would be other good points of shared interest.

This is a non-smoking property. There is a friendly, elderly cat. Clear spoken English is important for communication and a good team player.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. Some day time availability required.
