Description
We have a double bedroom available in our house, we are preferably looking for another female (no couples please) to keep the balance but we will consider all applications. I've really loved this house and living in this area so much - read a bit more about them below and message if you have any more questions. Comes with the double bed and a wardrobe. The rest of the furniture I plan to take with me as I bought these myself, but this can be reviewed.
The house and area:
The house itself is just off Stroud Green the lively main high street in Finsbury Park where you'll find lots of lovely restaurants, pubs (including the iconic faltering fullback) and cafes as well as a tesco, two lidls and a sainsburys local as well as lots of independent delis and greengrocers. We're above a florist and next to a cafe so theres always people around. The house itself is quite old and would benefit from a bit of a refurb, however that being said the landlord doesn't mind us doing anything to the house so if you wanted to paint or redecorate anything (including the bedroom) theres no issue with that, and the landlord will provide the paint! Anytime theres been any issues, the landlord has sorted it out pretty quick. The rent for the room itself is £763.75 but with bills and a regular cleaner included it comes to roughly £870 a month. The move in date I’m aiming for is the 1st Sept as I'm planning on moving out on the Saturday.
Transport: This is a really well connected place - It’s a 5 minute walk to Finsbury Park station with the Piccadilly and speedy Victoria line, then a 7 minute walk to Crouch End overground. Lots of buses for central and east London too.
About the Housemates:
Hollie - 26, works in the education department for an orchestra, and enjoys reading, comedy and hiking, Angus- 39, a food and wine enthusiast Pub Manager who has lived here 8 years and Ayaz - 25, the latest addition to our house, a videographer who enjoys social evenings out with friends after work.
Occasionally Holly works from home from the living room. We also have a spare room in the back of the house that has a desk- so if you wanted to work from home this is fine, although there's more than enough space for a desk in the bedroom!
Everyone in the house gets along well and we will hang out together occasionally but mostly we just do our own thing, I would say this house is really good if you’re not looking for housemates who want to live in each others pockets. Everyone is clean and tidies up after themselves, we have a cleaner who comes once a fortnight and we just stay on top of it in-between those times.
If you like the sound of this and would like to arrange a viewing and meet the rest of the house then just send us a message with a bit about yourself and we will get back to you!
