If you’re looking for an amazingly comfortable room in a lovely 3-bedroom Victorian house located in one of London’s most sought-after locations, then read on!
With all the characteristics of a traditional Victorian property, the house comprises a living room, kitchen, dining area, one bathroom, two toilets, and a small garden. After 2.5 years in this lovely place, I am moving on and we are looking for someone to take my room from mid-october.
We are situated in an excellent location on a quiet, leafy residential street. The house is a mere 2 minutes walk from Arsenal tube station (Piccadilly Line) or 5 minutes from Finsbury Park tube station (Piccadilly and Victoria Line, National Rail). Very handy for Central London, Camden, Islington and Stoke Newington. There are also plenty of 24hr buses accessible just around the corner, and the Piccadilly and Victoria Lines run all night on Fridays and Saturdays.
Within a few minutes’ walk there are fantastic facilities including supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl), restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and 3 parks: Gillespie, Finsbury and Clissold Parks! Gillespie Park is just opposite the house, perfect to relax in after a long day.
The room comes with a wardrobe, a wooden chest of drawers, a cupboard and a bed
You would be sharing with Jakob (Austrian), a researcher in Human Rights, and Yuhe (Chinese), a dramatherapist. They both lead quite independent, busy lives, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy a nice chat, a cuppa tea or a meal from time to time! Their interests include science, film, psychology, sports and literature. They are looking for a friendly, easy going housemate who is respectful, clean and considerate. And ideally someone who is looking for a quiet house - no party animals please!
The security deposit paid to the agency is £700, with the first month’s rent in advance (no admin fees). Your deposit will be covered by a protected deposit scheme. The agency will need references from your employer and current/previous landlord.
The rent for the room is £725 pounds pcm and all bills are approximately 140£ pcm, including water, gas+electricity, council tax, internet and a cleaner coming once or twice a month.
