Room Available in Cozy, Professional-Friendly House in Haringey (Finsbury Park, Manor House/Seven Sisters) for up to a fixed 6-month period (December 2024-June 2025)

Hello! 👋

We’re looking for a human & cat friendly, considerate, and professional housemate (30+) to join our relaxed, LGBT+ friendly and welcoming home in Hermitage Road (Manor House). The room is available from 16 December 2024 for up to 6 months (indicatively until mid June 2025), and we’re keen to find someone who values a warm, clean, and comfortable living space.

🏡 About the House:
Our home is a renovated 2-storey Victorian terraced house with a lovely garden, cozy living room and separate kitchen, located on a quiet street just 10-15 minutes walk from Seven Sisters station (Victoria Line) or Manor House (Piccadilly).
The house is close to the creative Florentia Village project (with a local cafe, place for brunch, artists studios), the wildlife reserve of the West Reservoir at Woodberry Downs. Both Green Lanes with Finsbury Park and Stoke Newington with Clisssold Park are easily reached by foot or public transport. Main shops, including a big Sainsbury, are just up the road, 15 minutes by foot.

🪴About the Room:
The room is a sizeable double, fully furnished with vintage wooden furniture, some house plants, bookshelves, a desk and mirrored wardrobe, overlooking the front of the house. Perfect for a someone looking for a peaceful place to relax after work and where it would also be possible to work from home. The house has also another, separate study room, which can be also be used to practice yoga/pilate/home workouts.

👯About Us 🐈‍⬛:
You’ll be sharing with another housemate in her late thirties, who works in the field of environmental protection and sustainability, and with a feline companion, Cosmic the cat, who is really sweet and affectionate. We enjoy a friendly, respectful atmosphere and occasional chats over dinner or a movie but also value each other's privacy and quiet time.

🙋Who We’re Looking For:
You’re ideally a working professional or researcher (30+), who’s settling into life in London and looking for a comfortable, relaxed, and well-connected base. If you appreciate a home that’s clean, calm, and warm, you’ll fit right in!

📝Details:
Rent: £ 830/month (all bills included, also incl. a biweekly cleaner for common spaces)
Deposit: £ 760
Move-in date: 16 December
Contract: fixed term of 6 months duration (move-out date, 14 June 2025). A written rental agreement will be signed by the two parties, with a specified notice period and including an inventory of the room and the house.
