Description
Hi!
I have a large double room with windows and loads of natural light available in a cute, artsy warehouse in the Manor House warehouse community.
Living with myself (41, visual artist, skateboarder and content creator) and Drew (39, DJ and Producer) we are a pretty chill warehouse with cozy vibes. We have central heating (included in the rent price), filtered tap water and shower water, all amenities, and a cleaner who comes twice a week.
We are pet friendly, and couples are welcome too (although the rent is slightly higher for couples sharing a room)
Generally the main space doubles as a living room/art studio/ dj space or work from home office space depending on who is living here with us and what meets all of our needs.
There is often some music playing in the main space with people working, creating, or chilling out - it's generally something like jazz, indie, lofi, folk, chill vibes etc or something upbeat like ragga or dance music but it's never anything super intense.
Still, people often use the main space to work, make art, or hang out until around 2am so this is not suitable for anyone who really needs quiet all the time or who has difficulty sleeping with any noise around them. It's not a party house, but it is a warehouse, and we have our own culture which is why we live here.
We're looking for someone mature, who values communication and is used to co-living in alternative spaces. It's important that you know how to get on with people even if we don't think the same about everythign or agree on everything.
As mentioned, we are not a party house, but guests and friends are always welcome to come hang out or stay over.
Generally we occasioanlly like to share meals or watch a movie on the projector, and we usually have a little chat and a catch up at the end of the day - but we also both have a lot going on with projects and work and have our own lives.
We are in the heart of the warehouse community with loads of opportunity to meet new people, go to parties, meet creatives, go to gigs and generally be a part of things that are happening. We are also close to a lot of transport links as well as several gorgeous parks and lots of venues, pubs and good food places.
Please note this is a warehouse so it has it's quirks! Not suitable for people who make drama out of everything - we all work together to make improvements and changes, keep things nice, and resolve any problems or issues between housemates or with the space itself. We value good communication, boundary setting, mutual understanding and a DIY attitude.
It really is a gorgeous little place, with huge bedrooms and calm, arty vibe (would suit people looking for a place to make and create art, music, or anything else!)
Shoot me a message if you're interested - it's available from September 1st with one month's deposit and one month's rent. Rent includes ALL bills, cleaner every two weeks, and a house kitty (tea, coffee, olive oil, toilet paper, kitchen roll, and general house neccesities)
Please note these photos are when the place has just been cleaned - it is usually a little more 'lived in' with people making art, cooking, etc and we welcome people to use the space in different and creative ways!
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who thinks this might be there next stop!
