Description
This spacious double bedroom (£1150, all bills included except for kitty, which amounts to approx £10 per month) is officially available from the 13th of November; featuring high ceilings, large double-glazed windows looking onto our lovely residential street, it is bright and airy and comes with more storage space than you will know what to do with! The bedroom is part furnished; it comes with a double bed frame (with more storage/drawers) and a mattress. Since it’s mostly unfurnished, you’ll have the freedom to make it your own. Freshly repainted a month ago.
Our location is fantastic:
5 minutes’ walk to Crouch Hill Station (Overground, Suffragette line)
10 minutes to Finsbury Park Station (Victoria Line & National Rail)
Surrounded by great cafés, eateries, green spaces, and running trails
The house itself offers:
One bathroom
A spacious kitchen/communal area with a cosy sofa
A laundry/drying room (a rare London perk!)
A large, beautifully maintained garden
About us:
We’re a very friendly, peaceful, and tidy household. I am the tenant of the property. The property comprises 4 bedrooms in total, with two females (myself included) and two males. One of the males is moving out. Privacy and personal space are respected, but we also enjoy the occasional catch-up/chats, and so we're not a typical 'house share' with locks on doors - the house is furnished to feel like a home, and has an incredibly cosy, homely feel. I enjoy decorating it seasonally (Christmas, Halloween/autumn). Nationality-wise, we are Swedish (me!), Italian, British and whatever you are! :)
It’s a non-party home, and cleanliness is EXTREMELY important to us - maintaining a consistently clean and orderly environment is essential, and I cannot overstate this enough. The most befitting word to describe living here is a 'sanctuary'. It’s important that anyone moving in is naturally tidy, considerate, and mindful of shared spaces - so, for example, no loud music in communal spaces. The space is best suited to someone who understands and practises the unspoken rules of basic household courtesy - such as scrubbing the toilet bowl after use, wiping crumbs from the kitchen table, and emptying the sink’s food catcher after rinsing dishes. These are simple, everyday standards that keep the home comfortable and harmonious for everyone. I totally understand this standard of living isn't for everyone, hence it would mostly be suited to somebody who is similar (you would love it if you're this way inclined). We have a cleaning rota in situ.
I'm looking for a long-term housemate with a preference for females, as in my experience, they tend to treat the house like a home (keeping it clean and peaceful), but if you're a male and are like this, please do reach out! Mostly out-of-home working would be preferred, or a hybrid set-up of a maximum of 2 days from home. Not ideal for students.
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you :-)
