Description
We have a decent-sized double room available from 20 February 2026 in an Edwardian converted flat, perfect for a 25+ professional who loves to keep place clean and tidy. We have a cleaning rotation, if you like the idea, please join us. This is your home rather than a place to sleep.
The current lodger is in a short-term contract, and has found a place to move in Feb. 2026, so your moving time is negotiable.
Your flatmates are 30+ male (Scientist/ Musician; with a sense of humour) & 70+ female (retired professor in Social/Gender Studies from Taiwan, interested in music, film, art and nature. She is the live-in landlord). We love cooking. We sometimes fix a date to eat together for a chat. We are LGBT+ friendly and sustainable aware household.
The Room: Facing rear garden with a lot of sunshine in the afternoon. The room is furnished with one double bed, bedside table, small 3-tiers shelves, built-in wardrobe, curtain, mirror (see the photo). A study table would be provided if you request (see an extra photo). The room is newly painted, very bright.
Shared Spaces: You'll be sharing with two flatmates. We respect personal space and move quietly up and down the stairs — you might not even notice as someone leaves the flat.
The flat benefits from:
* shared spacious kitchen fully equipped.
* shared bathroom + toilet.
* shared living room with a TV.
* shared second toilet.
* washing machine.
* rear garden.
Location & Transport: The flat boasts an excellent Zone 2 location, just within 10-minute walk to Manor House Tube Station through the Park (Piccadilly Line), and 12 -minute walk to Finsbury Park Station (Victoria, Piccadilly, and Overground lines) . It takes 10 minutes to get to Central London.
You'll have great access to Finsbury Park itself ( 1 minute walking distance) for green space and recreation, along with local shops, cafes, and amenities. Tesco, Lidl, Sainsbury, M&S Food Hall are in walking distance.
Rent & Bills: The monthly rent for this room is £880. Bills are not included. However, we estimate that bills (covering electricity, gas, water, a super-speedy broadband £5.35 per month and council tax around £74 per month) come to around £110-130 per month, helping you budget effectively. Deposit is one month rent.
