Hello lovely people!
My flatmates Eleanor and Beth are sadly moving out of our beautiful and cozy home in Finsbury Park so I’m looking for two new people to join a new tenancy with me.
Our place
Our flat was fully renovated just 2 years ago so the bathroom and kitchen in particular are still very new. There’s a split-level layout with a fitted kitchen which has a skylight and a cosy living room. The available bedrooms are on the top floors, while my room is on the first floor next to the bathroom.
Room 1 is on the second floor and feels spacious with a good layout. Most of the furniture in the room is Beth’s but the white wardrobe and mattress came with the room so will be staying. She is also open to selling the bedframe for anyone interested.
Room 2 is up on the highest floor and gets a lot of natural light. There is a chest of drawers and bedside table which will be staying and Eleanor is open to selling the bed and mattress for anyone interested otherwise she will take those too.
We also have a communal terrace which catches the sun in the afternoons and is accessed via Room 2. We've always rented it on the basis that this outside space is available for everyone, so keen for someone that doesn't mind others occasionally accessing it via their room.
The rent for both rooms will be £875 each plus bills which come to around £120/month including utilities, superfast broadband and council tax (Band C). The new tenancy will start on 27th August but the agency are keen to have details of the new housemates as soon as possible to get the referencing and checks done. I’m looking to have viewings on Sunday 11th July and over the week after if needed.
Our neighbourhood
I’ve lived here for 6 years now so I am biased but this is genuinely an incredible place to live. We are perfectly located for the amazing pubs, trendy bars and restaurants on Stroud Green Road and have Jolene just round the corner for coffee and some of the best pastries you’ll ever taste. Finsbury Park itself and the station are a 10-12 min walk away and we're also near the Parkland Walk which is a lovely woodland walk towards Highgate. We’ve got an M&S, Lidl, Waitrose and big Tesco all nearby plus a Tesco metro just round the corner.
About me
I’m Dimi, I work in policy and enjoy yoga, meditation, being in nature and vegetarian/vegan cooking. I love listening and dancing to salsa and reggaeton and catching indie/world cinema at our local Picturehouse. I’m always up for chats about what’s going on in the world or in the latest series of the Traitors, both of which I care deeply about.
About you
Worth stressing that you will likely need to be a professional with a steady income to pass the referencing checks. It would be lovely to find people who share similar interests and values and are also interested in co-creating a peaceful, intentional and sustainable home where we can chat while making dinner or over a cup of tea while being respectful of each other’s space.
