The Flat

An amazing two bedroom flat in the heart of Fitzrovia. The available bedroom is a spacious double with plenty of storage space (including a small walk in wardrobe, which I'm told is a game changer!). It's perfect for relaxing or entertaining guests, with enough room for both flatmates to have their own space when needed. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a large fridge freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. The bathroom is spacious and has a bath. The flat is furnished and more homely than the photo's indicate - I'll upload updated pictures soon (the one with the dog being the only recent one!)

The flat is ideally situated on a quiet street (Chitty Street) in Fitzrovia, offering a peaceful living environment while still being close to the bustling city. The fantastic transport links include Goodge Street (3 mins walk), Warren Street (7 mins), Tottenham Court Road (10 mins), and Great Portland Street (10 mins) tube stations. Within a 10-minute walk, you can be on Oxford Street, exploring the British Museum, or strolling through Regents Park.

The rent is £1550/month, with bills averaging an extra £200/month (vast majority of which is council tax, flat is in Camden council and band G). A deposit is required upon signing the agreement. If you decide to move out, I would require at least two months' notice in order to find a replacement flatmate.

The flat is pet friendly and my current housemate Veronika, has a lovely Poodle who I will be very sad to say goodbye too. I'm a huge dog lover so dog owners actively encouraged to apply.

About me

I'm a friendly, tidy and easy going individual and I'm looking for similar characteristics in a flatmate. I enjoy socialising, visiting pubs and restaurants, cooking (I was briefly a chef after university), reading, and staying active with spin, yoga, and climbing. I worked at a local hedge fund, making the world a better place but I'm currently not in work, I'm looking to remedy this in the next few months after a period of gardening leave!

When I was in work, I would be in the office every weekday and while I prefer to keep work and home separate, I understand that working from home is more common now and am very open to discussing arrangements, my current housemate has been working from home since she moved in 2 years ago without issue so unlikely to be an issue if this is your

The house has a good amount of shared space and I'm looking for a flatmate who I can feel comfortable sharing this space with. One of the things I've really valued during my time in London is coming back from work to a home rather than just a house. It's important to me that my flatmate isn't just someone who stays in their room and who I bump into once in a while but rather is someone who I feel comfortable around after a busy day at work.

Reference

"Ben and I have lived together for the past year and he is a joy to live with. He is the most caring and respectful flatmate I have had in my almost 10 years in London. He worked as a chef when he was younger and you can expect to be offered great meals regularly! He is extremely relaxed and flexible; will always check in with you on how you are, whilst giving you all the personal space you need. He also loves taking care of the flat, so you can expect it to be sparkling clean and tidy. I have been extremely lucky to be his flatmate, and to now be able to call myself his friend." - Carolina (previous flatmate)

Contact

I am keen to get a new flatmate lined up for the room quickly but would like to meet before agreeing to rent out the room to ensure we are a good fit. I will try and be as responsive as possible, however expect slow responses during working hours. I'm very happy to have a chat and give video tours of the place if coming in person isn't possible. I know how stressful the flat search can be and with that in mind I will try and ease the process however I can.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Ben
