Description

This is a queer, pro-Palestine, and liberal household. If your values differ significantly, this may not be the right fit for you.

Unfortunately, my current flatmate is moving out, so I am looking for someone friendly, respectful, and easy to live with. Our house is cosy and well-balanced in size, with a small garden that we try to keep tidy and green. Downstairs, we have an open-plan living and dining area, along with a bathroom. Upstairs are the bedrooms and a small WC with a shower, which is currently unused but we could change this.

The available bedroom is a good size and comes furnished with a double bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, and desk.

I am planning to adopt a dog in September after my holidays, so you would need to be comfortable with that.

The area is well connected and convenient—around 5–10 minutes from the Elizabeth Line station and about a 10-minute bus ride to Stratford. There are plenty of local amenities, including Lidl, Tesco, Co-op, cafés, and it is generally a quiet, family-oriented neighbourhood.

Bills:
- No water bill
- Council tax: £87.50 per person
- Wi-Fi (we will be changing provider when you move in)
- Gas and electricity vary—historically the most we ever paid was £90 each but then with this bloody war you don't know.

A bit about me: I’m a social worker, open-minded, queer, and originally from Greece, though I’ve lived in the UK for over 20 years. I enjoy vinyl, concerts, contemporary dance, and theatre. I live a fairly calm lifestyle and am not a party person, although could go the occasional club —I’d like to share the space with someone similar.

I have a good relationship with my current flatmate and would like to find someone who values communication, mutual respect, and a positive living environment. Ideally, this would feel like more than just a place to sleep.

I’ll be going on holiday at the end of June, so I’m hoping to find someone before then. Please send me a bit about yourself, and I will arrange viewings over the weekend.
I understand how difficult it can be to find housing in London, so I apologise in advance if I’m not able to respond to everyone.

Move-in date: no later than 14th July but could also be a little bit earlier.

*Please make an effort and write a bit about yourself so I can understand your vibe.
