Offered for rent is a spacious room in a large house in Forest Hill. The room itself is generously sized, with north facing windows, built in wardrobes, adjacent to the bathroom. The mattress and carpets are all new. A desk can be provided if you would like.

The house has an architecturally designed open plan kitchen, 100ft garden, two living rooms (a library and a snug with TV). Underfloor heating throughout. It's an A-rated Eco house with low bills. Heat pump, solar panels, fast fibre broadband, and all bills and a cleaner are included.

The garden has outdoor covered chill space, wifi and power, plus plenty of opportunities to get green fingered and plant, if you'd like.

It's a 12 minute walk to Sydenham, or Forest Hill Stations (overground to Canada Water, or direct to London Bridge in 20 mins), you can get to Shoreditch High Street direct. Penge East goes to Brixton & Victoria, and Lower Sydenham goes to Charing Cross. Parking on the street is free.

If you're not familiar with Forest Hill, it's unpretentious and friendly, there's the Horniman museum (with comically overstuffed Walrus), lots of gyms, pubs and restaurants a short walk away. The Crystal Palace National Sports Centre is nearby, with an athletics track, indoor football, rock climbing...basically every sport under the sun.

Why am I renting out my own house, I hear you ask? Because I've been in house shares for the last several years and really enjoyed the friendly vibes with great people sharing a space. I also respect everyone needs space and quiet to recharge.

About me - I am 38, and run a music company and would describe myself as easy going, active and sociable. I'm respectful of space, work from a self contained soundproofed studio in the home, and a co-working space in Peckham, and have years of renting experience as a tenant myself. And, as I'll hopefully prove, am a nice person to live with!

I'm looking for someone who welcomes friendly chat, the occasional pingpong game in the park, and a considerate renter that appreciates this is a nicer place than your typical rental and will treat it accordingly.
