Description
1 double room, Honor Oak/Forest Hill (South East), private garden
£875 (without bills). Move-in 1 November. One-year minimum contract. Deposit and reference required. Please note: the photos are slightly outdated, the flat has since been painted, decorated, and refurnished.
Hi all. I’m Charlie. I’m 27 years old and from Leicester, but have been living in London for four years now. I own and live in one of the rooms in this three-bedroom flat. The other room is taken by a good friend of mine, Tom. We are looking to rent out the third bedroom to an individual like Tom and I.
We are looking for an individual who is respectful but up for a laugh and a drink! Unfortunately no students – sorry – as we want to keep the place clean and tidy and ultimately it’s not a party house. There is a bi-weekly cleaner.
About Tom and I: we’re both easy-going and sociable. We love sports and fitness, but equally love socialising with friends and going to pubs and bars. We’re often at the pub watching the football with friends. Our work is quite important to us, so we are looking for a respectful person at all times but particularly on weekdays.
We are searching for someone who is more than just a flatmate — we hope to socialise with you and do things together. I should also just comment that although I’m a live-in landlord, the dynamic is an equal one – we are living in this space together and are very much on equal footing!
In terms of location, I work in Bank and the commute takes me 35 minutes. The flat is connected to the overground via Forest Hill or Honor Oak (equidistant). The national rail into London Bridge is also possible and takes just ten minutes. Forest Hill and Honor Oak are both lovely, very suited to young professionals. Lots of lovely coffee shops, independent restaurants and shops, and pubs and bars. Not far from Dulwich Park either, for your early morning park runs.
I take care of the bills – WiFi, council tax, water, electricity, gas – but require a monthly payment to cover your third. The bills come to approximately £110 pp/pm (cheaper in the summer).
Let me know if you want any further details and I’ll look forward to hearing from you! X
