Description
Large unfurnished double room available in a sunny, south facing 2-bed flat in Forest Hill. This is a relaxed, creative, LGBTQ+ friendly household with a preference for non-meat eaters. You’ll be sharing with Jacob, a musician and sound technician who owns the flat, loves folk music, wine making and has a penchant for snuff Tobacco. The room is a spacious double with loads of built in storage, a large window and has recently been redecorated.
The flat has a big shared garden where people grow vegetables, a good sized fully equipped kitchen, and a living/dining room with a very comfy sofa, dining table with space for guests and a balcony overlooking the garden. It has white goods including a new washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge freezer, and a storage space in the garden for tools/bikes/gardening stuff etc.
15 mins walk to Forest Hill, Honor Oak and Catford stations and about a 4 minute walk to loads of south and central London bus routes, including the 122, 171, and 185, the road is also uncontrolled parking. A few minutes walk to local shops, restaurants and pubs (The Honor Oak, Blythe Hill Tavern and The Chandos all within 10 mins). The road is quiet and leafy, and the flat is on the ground floor in an ex-council block of 8 flats, with considerate neighbours. There are a few steps going down to get to the block of flats, so it’s unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
The room is available from 1st April, on a 6 month initial period, moving onto a rolling contract after this. Bills approx. £200 PCM (Council tax band B), this includes WiFi and contents insurance. Please note Jacob is a live-in landlord (this is his only property) so you will be a lodger rather than a tenant. Proof of income will be required.
