We have a lovely room in a big old house in Gipsy Hill. The room is on the second floor and has great views of the Shard, the City and Crystal Palace.

The room is in the attic and has a sloping ceiling so has lots of character. It has a double bed and lots of floor space. The room has just been completely decorated. The desk, sofa and rug and lighting are all new.

You share a bathroom with one other person. The bathroom is right next to your room and has marble floor tiles, and a bath and shower suite. The room which shares the bathroom is also available, so if you have a friend who is looking this could be ideal.

The rent is £975 per month which includes all bills, including gas, electricity, fibreoptic internet, weekly cleaning of the common parts (not your room), council tax, heating, lighting, maintenance - basically everything.

The house is over 200 years old and huge, with seven rooms over four floors. Everyone living there is a professional, 40-something, nice people and there’s a real community in the house. The house has been completely upgraded to meet new fire and safety regulations, so it's very safe. It's also full of period features including a 120 year old fireplace and original cornicing. It's in a conservation area full of old houses with lots of character.

We have a weekly cleaner who cleans the common areas like the kitchen and shared lounge.

There is a huge kitchen which also has a dining area and everything you could want - double oven, six-ring hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There's a pretty little garden outside, perfect for chilling out and barbecues.

The common areas of the house are being interior designed to a high standard. There is a separate dining area in the shared lounge as well as a large TV, sofas and a fireplace.

Gipsy Hill is a really pretty area. 22 mins from Victoria or London Bridge by train, and the train station is just 5 minutes safe walk from the house. Crystal Palace station is 12 mins walk, where you can catch the London Overground service to the city (Shoreditch High Street is 32 mins). The area has a wide selection of bars, restaurants and vintage shops, and a big Sainsbury's just a few minutes walk away. There’s free parking outside the house.

We're looking for a single, professional. No couples. One of the housemates has allergies so preferably no pets. Minimum stay six months.
