In a beautiful house in Gipsy Hill, I am letting a double bedroom with its own bathroom with shower and toilet. You share a large kitchen, interior designed sitting room and garden with other people living in the house. Everyone living there is professional, tidy and quiet 30's / 40's - very friendly vibe. The house is beautiful, it's over 200 years old and is absolutely huge.

THE ROOM

There is a double bed and built-in wardrobe. The room is on the first floor and has a really nice view of the garden, and it's very quiet and peaceful.

There's an en-suite shower and your own private toilet.

TRANSPORT

Gipsy Hill station is 5 minutes walk, regular trains to Victoria or London Bridge. Crystal Palace is 12 minutes walk with London Overground services to Canada Water, Shoreditch High Street and Highbury & Islington.

THE HOUSE

The house is over 200 years old and is enormous, with seven rooms over four floors. Everyone living there is a professional, 30's / 40's and there’s a nice atmosphere in the house. We have hospitality, marketing and accounting professionals. The owner lives in London and takes good care of the house. Please don't be put off by the idea of sharing a house with so many other people, it is a huge house, there is lots of space and everyone is so busy that you very rarely see more than one other person.

There is a spacious kitchen which also has a dining area and everything you could want - double oven, five-ring hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a shared lounge, which has just been completely interior designed with completely new furniture. The house has fibre-optic wireless internet.

The house has a lovely garden, perfect for the hot summer weather and there is a barbecue and a swing-seat. There is a gardener who comes throughout the summer.

The house is licensed and meets all safety regulations. It's also full of period features including a 120 year old fireplace and original cornicing. It's in a conservation area full of old houses with lots of character. There is a cleaner who comes once a week to clean the communal areas of the house.

THE MONEY

£1050 rent including all bills such as electricity, gas, water, internet, council tax, communal area cleaning and gardening. Deposit £500 held with a secure government approved deposit organisation.

THE DEAL

Strictly NO COUPLES (sorry the house is licensed for 1 person per room) and no cats / dogs (I have another tenant with allergies). Smokers OK, but you must smoke outside in the garden. Minimum stay 6 months.

THE AREA

We are just a couple of minutes walk from Crystal Palace triangle. The area has a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops, and a big Sainsbury's just a few minutes walk away. There’s free parking outside the house.
