Description
Hello!
We are looking for a new housemate in our 3-bed semi-detached house on the Golders Green Estate.
Travel:
We are located approximately a 6 minute walk from Cricklewood National Rail station which provides a 25 minute (air conditioned) trip to central London (St Pancras, Farringdon, Blackfriars etc). We are also a 20 minute walk from Golders Green Northern Line and Willesden Green Jubilee Line.
If you drive, access to the A406 North Circular Road and Junction 1 of the M1 is approximately 5 minutes away. We have on street parking available.
It takes around 40 minutes to cycle to Central London.
Flatmates:
You’ll be living with two other housemates.
I (George, M, 26) am a professional musician. I tend to be around the house during the day and work in the afternoons/evenings teaching/gigging etc. I spend most of my time practising (we have a practice room in the garden, so it won’t annoy you don’t worry!) reading books and exercising.
Joe (M, 22) is in his last year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Joe is also a musician who plays guitar.
We are clearly a musical household so you will have be someone who also enjoys music! But we respect each other’s spaces and will never be antisocial with our noise making:)
Landlord:
We know our landlord personally and I knew him even before we started renting his property. He is lovely and takes great care of us. There is no agency to deal with and if anything goes wrong it is normally dealt with incredibly quickly. This is a massive positive of this property.
The room:
A large double room facing the road. It is technically unfurnished, however it does come with a desk and a large wardrobe. The previous tenant is willing to sell a double bed frame, desk chair and side table for a good deal if you want it. Rest of the house we have furnished so you don’t need to worry about that!
The house:
We have one bedroom in the front room on the ground floor, then two upstairs. All the bedrooms are the same size. We have a small communal space on the first floor in which we have an Xbox and a TV. Our friends also sleep in this room whenever they come to stay. The house has one bathroom. A decent sized garden and a garden room (that we use as a practise space). The kitchen includes a small sofa and dining table.
Whilst we don't *technically* have a cat, there is a neighbourhood cat that basically lives with us. His name is Marv.
We know our neighbours on both sides and they are lovely. The neighbourhood is full of family’s and is pretty relaxed.
The contract:
Rolling 1 month contract. We have been told by the landlord that we can stay in this house for at least the next 12 months (we’ve already been living here for one year). You will need to sign from September (although our old tenant will pay the first month for you) and you can move in from the 1st October.
Rent and bills:
Rent is split equally between us. This year it will be £834 pcm. Bills normally add up to around £130-150 including Wifi and Council Tax. (If you are a student, you will still be expected to pay council tax). You will need to put forward 1 month in advance as a deposit.
If you are interested, please get in contact and we can organise a zoom meeting.
Thanks!
George & Joe
