Hello, reader!
We're currently looking for a new housemate to join this lovely, very caring flat.
The previous tenant has just departed to move to East London, and this time of year is tricky so it's now become a little urgent to fill the room, hence why I'm also considering short-term lets, but we'd prefer someone more long-term as this is very much a home and not just a flat.
The room:
Is a lovely south-facing double that catches the sun all day - you'd have free reign to paint, decorate, etc as you please. The room comes semi-furnished (bed frame included, possibly mattress). In full disclosure as the room is the smaller of the three, you would get first dibs on a frankly giant cupboard in the entrance hall that has some clothes rails and can be used however you see fit. Previous housemates have treated it as a wardrobe and storage area, so it's almost like having a walk-in closet.
The flat:
This is a lovely, spacious, bright flat, set-away from the road and part of a low, long, purpose-built block from the 50s. I love living here, and have now entered my 7th year as a tenant. The connections are amazing, it's residential, and I adore the area.
The household:
Things are a very sharing vibe here; toothpaste, onions, hairdryer etc are all up for use. Plenty of local things to get involved in too - the London school of mosaic is in the building's undercroft!
The tenants:
You'd be living with myself (Tallulah, 27, marketing manager), Nam (27, creative producer) and Byron (5, Springer Spaniel, very good boy, he is a dog).
Connections:
Gospel Oak Overground is 6 minutes, Belsize Park tube station is 12 mins, and the 24 and 46 bus routes are 2 mins away, providing prime access into the West End and City.
You:
This would really suit a young professional who enjoys a good natter in the kitchen, has lived with dogs before, is tidy, and is interested in a home rather than just somewhere to sleep. We've got big plans to make the living room the lounge space of dreams!
Process:
I'm aware of what a busy time of year this is, and have done a fair number of these processes before, so I typically do video viewings to speed things up (this would involve us getting to chat a bit and me showing you round the flat), and then an in-person if it's a good fit.
Highlights:
No deposit, girly household, working in fashion, the sweetest dog ever, wine nights in the kitchen, allowed to hang whatever you want on the walls etc.
Please shoot me a message telling me a little about yourself along with your availability to speak over video!
