Description
Hello! One of our flatmates is moving at the end of our contract we are looking for 1 more person to join our flat. You would be signing a new 6-month contract with us, after which you would sign another 6-month contract if you wanted to stay and so on.
The flat is located in lovely central/maritime Greenwich less than a 2-minute walk to the pier and about a 10-minute walk to Greenwich Park. It's also just off of Greenwich Town Centre so there is lots to do in the area. The property is Council Tax Band B. The available room is £620 pcm + bills which are just about £100 pcm at the moment.
The rooms are partially furnished with a bed and wardrobe and are quite spacious (the photos don't do them justice).
Local transportation: Cutty Sark (DLR; Zone 2+3) is a less than 5-minute walk from the property and Greenwich Station (DLR and National Rail; Zone 2+3) is a 10-15 minute walk away. There are also bus routes towards central and further into southeast that are very accessible from the flat.
Accessibility: The flat is located on the third floor and there are 2 lifts in the building. When you enter the flat there is 1 small step down into the main corridor.
The flat is owned by private landlords who live outside of London and are nice, quite laid back and hands-off. However, they require a reference check (employer and prior landlord). If you are not currently in full-time, permanent employment, you will need a guarantor.
Caroline and I both have pretty busy work schedules but ideally, the vibe we like to keep in the flat is:
- Respectful and tidy
- Laidback and a relaxing place to come back to
- Not a major party flat, but bringing friends and partners around is absolutely okay
- Openness to hang out but also mindful of privacy
- Welcoming to humans from different backgrounds, both in terms of who lives here and who comes around to visit
Who would you be sharing the flat with:
"Hello I'm Kelsea (26; she/they) and I'm Canadian. I work full-time as a team lead in the NHS (albeit working to make a career move back into policy-related work) and study a PhD in sociolegal studies. I'm into social justice/advocacy work, reading books, coffee, theatre, films, art galleries, spin class, yoga, park walks, tattoos, and pretty much anything creative."
"Hi I'm Caroline (29; she/her) and I'm originally from Switzerland but have been living in London for a couple of years where I work in the legal industry. I enjoy being outdoors and active. In winter I love to go skiing and in summer I play tennis, go running and enjoy going to the pub with friends. I enjoy travelling, great food and getting stuck in a good book."
If you have read this far and think that this may be a good fit for you feel free to send me a message telling me a bit about yourself. And we can potentially discuss some times for viewings :)
We are having viewings this Saturday 6th July in the morning and afternoon.
