We have a decent sized double room in our six bedroom house in Greenwich town centre. Including a couple, six of us live here now and our lovely Ben is moving on, so have a look if you’d like to live with us 4 women and 2 guys (early to late 30s) in our very grand and spacious home!

Rent: £950 pm + about £150 bills (£1,137 deposit)

This isn’t like most places on Spareroom! We want to create an intentional community. If you’re just looking to lay low in your room/ be out all the time, and only share with people to save money, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you’re someone who’s actively excited to live with people you want to connect with meaningfully; share dinners together maybe once or twice a week; help us host epic parties; keep the place beautiful and help us look after this special listed building; and you like sharing your communal space, then this could be the place for you.

Emotional intelligence is really important to us. We want to live with people who are comfortable communicating their needs, wants and boundaries. Generally stuff here is chilled, easy, warm and loving. Often playful, supportive and social. Also focused and hard working (with some people working from home some of the time). Once in a while, some kind of conflict or tension will arise, however small, and it’s super important to us that you’re open to talking things through. We’ve found that it is a really important aspect of having a home and community, which stays healthy and remains a cozy place to share. We're not perfect, but we're all doing the best we can with the tools we have to show up in a nice way for each other!

With so many housemates, we have birthdays every couple of months and we’ll probably throw a handful of bonus parties in there every year too. Special occasions may be loud, pretty epic and run until late, but otherwise it’s a peaceful environment, suitable for meditation, reading books, having friends and family of all ages around, etc. We have movie nights with the projector, and sometimes host music / poetry jams, and the occasional workshop. We’d love someone to contribute to this creation! We also like attending ecstatic dance events together, having spontaneous kitchen disco moments and hanging with friends from a likeminded house around the corner. Importantly, there is also enough space to cosy in a comfortable corner and read a book.

With seven of us, it is great having this extended network of lovely people, where we get to meet and befriend each others’ friends. We have a space for guests to stay and we welcome housemates to use it if well communicated. We may host a couchsurfer (Couchsurfing. org) a few nights per year because we’re (discerningly!) trusting of people, and like cultural exchange, meeting and helping people, and are happy to share with respectful people.

We have a pretty diverse house of creatives, solo entrepreneurs, a coach, lawyer, product manager, therapist, doctor.. all from a range of walks of life and languages. We also have our beautiful best friend, Keet, a 15 year old cat who is so calm and sociable and never fails to improve your day when she settles down on your lap.
