Hi Friends,
I’m Alisha and am looking for a new flatmate. The rent is £1000 a month including bills (council tax, water, electricity, wifi, and heat) payable on the first day of the month.
Move in date from 01/09/25 but ideally 04/09 as I won’t be able to get the time off work. First month’s rent and deposit (£800) to be paid on 01/09.
The room:
Large unfurnished double room as seen with own private bathroom(not en-suite). Bathroom features shower/bath and heated towel rack.
The flat:
The flat has washer, drier, dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen. Current furniture belongs to my flatmate who is moving out. However, I have new lounge/kitchen furniture arriving. Sheltered balcony with furniture off the lounge/kitchen.
Flat is on the fourth floor with lift access. Building comes with a Conceirge and gym which is free to use as tenants. Intercom in flat. Garage in building, unfortunately the flat does not come with parking space. Though you can reserve a space for a few hours through the Conceirge.
It’s a 1 minute walk from the Thames and the Thames river path. 20 minute walk into Greenwich. 10 minute journey to North Greenwich Station. Excellent transport links (trains to London Bridge, Cannon Street) from Maze Hill (15 minute walk) and Greenwich station (30 minute walk). Several buses stop at the end of the road including 422 and 188.
Tenancy:
1 year contract with the option to extend. I’ve been living here for three years and the rent has only gone up by £20. It doesn’t look to be going up any time soon.
The flat is a part of a government rent scheme so you would need to earn between 30-50k per year and be able to prove it. Unfortunately this means benefits will not be accepted.
Deposit (required) - £800.
About Me:
I’m Alisha, a 27 year old queer English teacher. I love reading, the theatre and gaming. I’m a bit of a private homebody so would love another quiet person like me. I don’t drink or smoke/vape and use the flat as a calm escape from my busy work life.
I also have my wonderful cat, Toothless, who is pictured. The flat is his home more than mine so you must be a cat lover!
Preferences:
Someone who in their late 20s to early 30s who isn’t too loud. Single only. Must love cats and not mind my baby having free roaming access to the entire flat. Female preferred.
