Description
Hello! I’m Olivia, a professional young woman looking for another professional in her twenties to share my London flat with from May 1st.
The Flat:
- recently re-done, stylish and very comfortable to live in
- a cool kitchen which you’ll enjoy if you like cooking
- a spacious open-plan living room
- a cosy bedroom
- bright bathrooms
- a little balcony set-up to catch evening sun
- the sun rises from the big living room windows and sets over the balcony outside
- a table and chairs outside in a 'back garden' we're working on
- a herb garden for all the neighbours
- a beautiful, cream building split into 6 flats - nice, friendly and polite neighbours (including my brother upstairs).
The Flat's Area/Location:
- a quiet, homely street with family neighbours
- round the corner from Blackheath Standard and its doctors, pharmacy, and shops- M&S local
- every big supermarket and shop you could need a 20 min walk or 10 min cycle away in Charlton.
- 10 min walk in both directions to the heath and Greenwich Park, for walks, runs, picnics, tennis
The flat's location:
- 3 mins from the nearest bus stops (to get to North Greenwich tube- and 108 is free)
- 7 min walk to Westcombe Park train station (20 mins to London Bridge)
- the local, rural feel of Blackheath and Greenwich Village, while livelier London super accessible.
The Bedroom for Rent:
- a double room
- furnished with bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and shelves
- You can see how it’s currently styled to get ideas
- Not too much room for a desk but you're very welcome to co-work with me at the breakfast bar, if working from home.
Note: Though not en-suite, you could have a shower-room with a sink to yourself, too.
What I'm Like as a Flatmate:
- sociable and fun! Have a good sense of humour.
- pretty creative
- wanting to enjoy the opportunities of London a little more, since moving over from a few years in Amsterdam, having grown up in the West Country
- wanting to host and have friends round a little more (and you're very welcome to, too!)
- I work remotely (4/5 days a week), at the breakfast bar counter in the kitchen and have occasional online meetings, or I'm at a cafe out of the house. In September, I'll no longer work from home, when I will become a full-time trainee teacher at a local secondary school
The Flatmate and Flatshare I'm Looking For:
- can keep on top of cleaning, with a bit of a rota
- catches up with one another's day over a cup of tea
- is a home-maker and looks after their home
- watch TV or a film together once in a while
- maybe go on a run together
- has a sense of humour so we can have a giggle
- has a steady job and income
- let's me know concerns and keeps them on the surface
Necessary Criteria:
• You are in full-time employment
• You can pay a full month's deposit up front
• You have no pets
• You can provide a reference required from your current landlord and current employer
• You can move in as close to May 1st as possible
Contract:
6-month lease, with potential for renewal (likely 12 months)
If this looks like it could be your home for the next while, please do message me.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
With best wishes,
Olivia
