En-suite double in 4-bed house, Hackney Central

Hello!

We are Polly, Gervase, and our babies Frank and Ruby, and we have a beautiful double en-suite available in our house in central Hackney.

About us
We love politics, the pub, getting out into the countryside in our van, and the occasional massive techno night. We have always had housemates, including since having kids, and we love the warmth of a communal home!

We have friends over for dinner, drinks or movies a lot, and you'd be really welcome to do the same - we love to meet new people! We also like to share meals and cooking as housemates.

We are looking for:
Someone friendly and sociable. This is perfect for you if you are into communal living and likely to be around a fair bit, up for socialising and doing fun stuff locally together. It's not a "come and go" flatshare kind of thing, we really value social time together and making lasting friendships.
Someone happy to live with two toddlers! They are very cute and like to be chased and tickled, you know the usual toddler stuff.

The house:
A 4-bed terraced house in Hackney Central, 2 minutes walk to the station.
Ground floor: kitchen, garden/patio, playroom
First floor: mezzanine living room, your room with ensuite, and the main bathroom
Top floor: our room and the kids' room, plus upper mezzanine working/reading area.
It's got the usual utilities and comes furnished.

The room:
The room comes furnished, with a king size bed and en suite (shower, loo, sink), and is £1,100 per month excluding bills (usually 150). It's available from 20 June.

A bit about our rhythm with the kids:
- they sleep 7pm-7am, and don't usually wake up - so the evenings are very much adult time! We don't usually need to worry too much about evening noise; we have dinner parties and occasionally house parties and it doesn't seem to wake them
- On weekdays they go to nursery all day Tues & Weds and we take them Mon, Thurs and Fri (so pop in and out of the house that day). We both work in the office so you'd have the house to yourself all day Tues & Weds.
- weekends: we are usually out and about seeing friends.

The rental period:
We've set it as 6 months initially just to see how it goes, and then if we all like it we can extend!
